CHICO –'Sleeping Beauty' tells the story of Princess Aurora, who was cursed by the evil fairy Carabosse to die from a prick on the spindle of a spinning wheel, but was saved by four good fairies who altered the curse so that the princess instead fell into a deep sleep to be awakened by a kiss from a true love. The classical ballet version of 'Sleeping Beauty' is presented by Friends of the Chico Community Ballet and Chico Performances which will show at Laxson Auditorium at Chico State Friday through Sunday.
